Salon Practices & Policies
Your safety remains my top priority, and I have implemented all state and local health guidelines to ensure best practices when it comes to sanitization, disinfection, PPE, and contact with my clients.
If you haven’t already, please familiarize yourself with the following changes and procedures:
The salon has been configured to provide six feet of space between clients and stylists, per CDC recommended social distancing guidelines.
Masks are required at all times when in the shop- exceptions will be made for individuals with health conditions that deem masks to be detrimental to their physical Ill-being. While I strongly encourage customers to provide their own masks, a mask can be provided for you, as available.
As I figure out the new normal, I ask that you be open-minded as I channel my decades of collective Cosmetology experience to re-invent my customer experience so that I can be complicit with newly implemented safety standards, while continuing to provide the highest quality services available.
The salon waiting area is currently closed to all, with the exception of parents of young children and direct caregivers. I ask all other individuals to wait outside or in their vehicles.
Please text or call when you arrive to the salon for your appointment, and I will text you when I am ready to start your appointment.
1. Have you had a new or worsening cough?
2. Have you had a fever?
3. Have you had shortness of breath?
4. Have you been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
Please self monitor your symptoms, and be truthful. For the safety of my clients and salon stylists, and in compliance with state guidelines, I will not be able to perform services on individuals who answer yes to these questions or who exhibit symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
Upon entering the shop, clients will be required to wash their hands before receiving any services.
I ask clients to try their best to avoid touching surfaces in the shop, except the styling chair and front door, if necessary.
For the time being, I will be discontinuing drink service but will provide you with water should you need to take your medicine or avoid dehydration.
The success of Emerson Salon relies on the mutual efforts of both stylists and clients to do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by meeting state and local requirements for operating a hair salon.
Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.
